I just love this language! Such pathos.

Unfortunately there are such leaders in every sect, Jewish, Christian, Muslim, American, Iranian or Israeli - all speaking different languages but the same comic-book usage of dramatic phrases, using fear as a way of control. Will we ever vote for a leader who doesn’t?

Dr. Sayid Al-Qimni doesn’t stand a chance. I admire his courage though…

MEMRI has defined this as a “debate between fundamentalism and secularism” - Is there such a thing as “secularism”? Is it strong enough to be an”ism”?

At least I take comfort in the fact that the Islamic fundamentalist is the one talking from London, while the Liberal is sitting in Egypt. That is a small but important progress towards tolerance - even if it is fake and temporal.
